Book Review – Darker (Fifty Shades as Told by Christian #2) by E L James

If you’ve read my review for Grey which is the first book of this trilogy then you know how bad I wanted to read the other books from the point of view of Christian and wanted that to become a whole other trilogy and that’s what happened. E L James made my wish come true!! I actually freaked out and got so excited when I saw this book that I wanted to read this book right away.

So this book is from the POV of Christian Grey of the book Fifty Shades Darker. It is a good book but since I had already finished the Fifty Shades trilogy, I knew what happens in the story so it wasn’t anything new in there. But I got to know more about Christian’s past and how tough his childhood was which again made me feel bad for him. Continue reading

Book Review – Someone Else’s Summer by Rachel Bateman

Finally a book review!! This is the first book review of this year, wow I honestly have to get back to blogging regularly. Okay so before I go on talking about this book, I want to get this one thing out off my chest. THIS IS NOW ONE OF MY FAVORITE SUMMERS READS!! Whoa, it feels so good to let that out. Well now you know how I feel about the book. But honestly this book has everything that I love like bucket lists, road trip, friendships and family. I actually finished this book in one sitting or maybe laying down actually. I started reading the book at 9 o’clock at night and couldn’t put it down and finally finished at 6 in the morning, that’s when I went to sleep. But if you’re new here and don’t know me, I’m the kind of person who would forcefully stop myself from reading a book in one sitting because I like to be in the world of the book for quite some time like days or week. So you know how amazing this book is.

Copy of Copy of BOOK

I know my screen is broken but you know what’s the funny part; the screen broke but the screen guard is all fine!! 😂😂

So basically this book is about Anna who lost her elder sister, Storm (I know cool name, right?), in a car accident and now she has to live with the sadness but then she finds her sister’s bucket list and decide to do all the things that’s in it with the boy next door, Cameron, who was Storm’s best friend. So she goes in an epic adventure with Cam where she gets to know a lot about her sister and also about herself too. Continue reading

Watch The Fiction World Come to Life | #BlogTalk

I’m going to do something risky here. So, for the past 1 year I wasn’t been active in my blog as well as my bookstagram account because I was really busy with my college work but now that I’m trying to get back at it, something is bugging me and that’s my bookstagram. All the photos that I had posted on it were below average picture and I hated every single picture that I had posted because I know I can do better than that and shoot really good photos.

So, what I thought is that I’m going to delete all the pictures and start fresh. I’ll try to upload as much photos as I can but I would also try my best to post photos that are aesthetically pleasing. Also if you are interested to see my other photos, you can check them out on my main Instagram account – @justrenuka Continue reading

One Year of College | Update on My Life

Heck yeah!! I just survived a whole year of college.

This one year has been hectic. I actually thought that I could balance between blogging and my college life but definitely I was wrong. But honestly these past few months have been amazing. I went to different places, tried new things, ate amazing food and had fun with my friends. But there were some low points throughout the year where I got to learn a lot about different people and lost some friends (people I thought were my friends). But anyway, shit happens and I can’t do anything about that, I’m just content with the few friends that I do have and whom I can truly trust.

So, here’s a quick list of what happened in this past one year: Continue reading

Smartphone Photography 101

As a photography student I’m supposed to take my camera with me wherever I go but taking my DSLR everywhere is really hard that’s where my phone comes in place. I’m not saying that my phone is better than my DSLR but my phone is compact and it always stays with me 24/7. So whenever I see something and I don’t have my camera, I take the photo with my phone. You can check my photos in Instagram – @justrenuka

So here are some tips that will help you to take better pictures from your smartphone: Continue reading

Back To School Freebie | Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. So this week’s theme is “Required Reading for Every College Freshman”. I’m a college freshman and before coming to college I read all these books related to college life and I want to share them with you guys. Honestly after coming to college I haven’t even read a single page of a book and the guilt is eating me up. Every night I try to read but I’m just so tired that I go off to sleep. Even this! I haven’t been active in my blogging and I hate to do this. I’m trying really hard to keep up with everything but I’m not being able to. But I’m trying and I’ll keep on trying to balance everything.

Here are the books that every college freshmen should read: Continue reading

Still Trying to Adjust to the College Life

This is way harder than I thought!!

It’s almost 1 month and I haven’t read a single page. Ever since I came to Uni I haven’t got time to read and I feel so bad. Neither am I reading nor I’ve been active on my blog. I’m trying so hard to take out some time for everything I love but nothing is going my way. Honestly I didn’t really realised that it’ll be this hard to balance my college life and my blog. But I have to! I’m trying and I’ll keep trying to take out time for both. Continue reading

My First Week of College

Yayyy!!!! I finally survied my first week of my college.

I’ve honestly been trying to find time to blog and read books because this week has been hectic. The first day was honestly really scary. I actually was having panic attacks in the morning but later everything was fine. Met many people from all over the country. It’s really interesting to talk to them about their city and their culture. So far everything is going pretty good. The food that we get is not really tasty but it’s good enough that we can actually eat it. The weather here is really cold compared to where I lived. In July, it is actually really hot in my town but here we are walking around with our hoodies on. At night it gets more chilled. But the view is really amazing from here. We are on hilltop so my batch-mates and me just hang around and enjoy the view. Continue reading

My First Day in My Dorm!

My first day of living alone! Literally because my roommate isn’t here yet.

So I finally arrived to the university, got my keys and filled all the forms. When I entered my room the first thought that came to my mind was, this room looks really familiar. Then I remembered this room is really familiar to the room of Cath’s from Fangirl. And I was like, you know everything is the same but the only thing that’s missing or should I say the only person that’s missing is Levi. 😋

But anyway, the dorm is really good, the campus is way better. Well this university is on top of a hill so it’s really cold here compared to where I lived. Continue reading
